The Braves traded outfielder Matt Kemp to the Dodgers for Adrian Gonzalez, Brandon McCarthy, Scott Kazmir, Charlie Culberson and cash considerations. Atlanta released Gonzalez immediately after the trade. The Dodgers dumped $50 million in salary in the trade, although Kemp is owed $43 million over the next two seasons. Kemp spent nine seasons with the Dodgers before being traded to the Padres.
