Puerto Rico governor orders probe of discovery of hurricane recovery materials

Puerto Rico’s governor Ricardo Rossello has ordered an investigation of materials that were discovered in a warehouse that belonged to the islands electric authority. The United States Army Corps of Engineers said that the materials in the warehouse are critical to restoring power to the U.S territory, where 40 percent of residents still remain without power. Inside the warehouse was a stock of transformers, splices and other materials. The army corps said that the materials were not being used, leading to delays in power resurgence. An army corps spokesperson said the Corps began distributing the materials to contractors on Saturday.
