Hundreds of members of the Naga tribal community came together in Kohima to celebrate the maiden ‘Naga Day’. The day was held to commemorate the submission of a memorandum by the Naga community to the Simon Commission on January 10, 1929, seeking self-determination and separation from the Indian union. The event, 'Nagas Without Borders', sought to forge unity among members of the community across borders. Dressed in vibrant traditional attires, members of the community gathered in huge numbers. The Naga culture was on display in its full glory as men and women danced and sang. Several speakers addressed the gathering with emphasis on oneness.
