A 'Black Widow' Solo Film From Marvel is in the Works That's right! Marvel hired screenwriter Jac Schaeffer to work on the script. Schaeffer is an newcomer in the industry but worked with the likes of Anne Hathaway on past projects. Black Widow made her first appearance back in 2010 in Iron Man 2, and she went on to kick major butt in the Avengers franchise. According to Variety, Scarlett Johansson is returning, of course, and she even met with Schaeffer to discuss her vision for the super heroine's solo debut. There is not an official release date, but fans of Black Widow can catch her in Avengers: Infinity War this May the 4th.
