Apple to Pay $185 Million in Back Taxes to UK Authorities

Apple has agreed to pay an extra 137 million British pounds, or $185 million, in back taxes, which the company says is a “corporate income tax adjustment.” According to The Guardian, the payment covers years up to September 2015, and also includes interest on the unpaid tax. In a statement, Apple said, "As a multinational business and the largest taxpayer in the world, Apple is regularly audited by tax authorities around the world.
