Walmart Expanding Its 'Scan & Go' Service to 100 Locations
  • 6 years ago

According to Business Insider, Walmart is expanding its “Scan & Go” service, which allows customers to bypass checkout lanes, to 100 more locations. 'Scan & Go', which is already available in 25 stores, lets shoppers scan barcodes of their selected items through a mobile app. They are then allowed to pay through the app and walk out of the store after showing an employee the digital receipt. Walmart originally tested the technology in 2014, but consumers struggled to get the hang of it.
