NYT Cancels James Franco Event After Allegations
  • 6 years ago
The New York Times has cancelled an event featuring Golden Globe winner James Franco after he was accused on social media of sexual misconduct.

The event, which would have also featured his younger brother Dave, was intended to be a discussion on the making of The Disaster Artist.

But in a statement from The New York Times, they say given the controversy surrounding recent allegations, they are no longer comfortable proceeding in that vein.

James showed up to the Golden Globes wearing black and a Time’s Up pin like most of the other stars.

However, a few women decided to accuse him of inappropriate behavior in the past… and one of the accusations included a 17 year old girl.

Reps for Franco have not commented on the story.
