North Korea Will Send Athletes to Olympics in South Korea It's official! The country said its athletes will participate February’s Winter Olympics in South Korea. The decision comes as a major breakthrough after North's advancing nuclear missile programs. The event will mark the first time North Korea participated in the Winter Olympics in eight years. Back in 1987, North Korean agents planted a bomb on a Korean Air plane to sabotage the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
