After twelve years Stephen Fry has stepped down from hosting the BAFTA. Fry took over hosting responsibilities back in 2001. He became a much-loved fixture of the UK awards ceremony. Fry said he's looking forward to watching the 2018 ceremony from the comfort of his own home without his "knees trembling". In part, Fry said "after so long a time I felt it only right to stand down and let others take the BAFTAs on to new heights and greater glories."
