Revere residents, in the Boston area, were left stranded with icy water up to their knees during the "bomb cyclone" which hit the US north-east on January 4.

The footage shows cars enclosed in a thick layer of ice after floodwater froze around them.

The filmer told Newsflare residents were stuck in flooded houses which had "no power, no heat, no hot water, no electricity, and no light."

According to reports, thousands of flights were cancelled in the regions affected by the "bomb cyclone."
