People were trapped by frozen floodwaters in Hull, Massachusetts, as a nor’easter hit the area on Thursday, January 4.This video taken by Hull resident Jen Olivieri shows a woman, who is sitting on the roof of a house, being rescued by firefighters in a loader. Frozen floodwaters can be seen in front of her door.Firefighters in Hull were overrun with calls for assistance following the intense winter storm, according to local news reports. The Town of Hull Emergency Management said life-threatening calls, among “calls for service, multiple rescues, fires, people trapped in vehicles, car fires,” would be prioritized.Flooding was reported in coastal communities south of Boston during the storm, which brought blizzard conditions and strong winds to much of the northeast.
