Woman gets cut short by elevator in China

SHANGHAI, CHINA — Looking at your phone instead of watching where you're going is always a solid plan, especially in the land of man-eating elevators.

A woman in Shanghai was walking into a Made-in-China elevator on June 21, 2017, when it malfunctioned and starting moving up even before the doors closed.

Engrossed by her phone, the woman had no clue, so she tripped and face-planted into the lift. Too bad her right leg wasn't able to get on in time.
The elevator then went up three floors — leaving the woman's right leg waiting for the next lift.

The woman is seen at the end of the video lying on the floor waiting for help to arrive.
