Gallup's latest poll shows President Trump at his highest weekly approval percentage since July.
He stands at 39% overall, with 82% of Republicans, 34% of Independents and 8% of Democrats giving favorable responses.
The poll was conducted during the week ending December 31, and the uptick in results may have been triggered in part by the passage of the GOP tax bill.
That piece of legislation was signed into law by the president on December 22.
While the bill was a major victory for the Republican party at large and for Trump in particular, it's unclear if it will be enough to sustain the upward movement in his approval numbers.
The president has since infuriated many with a tweet claiming that he has a "bigger" nuclear button than Kim Jong-un.
"North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the 'Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.' Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!" Trump tweeted on Tuesday.
