A woman who had been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease for about six years turned out to have a different sort of trouble.

A woman who had been diagnosed with Crohn's disease for about six years turned out to have a different sort of trouble. 
According to a report published in the British Medical Journal, treatments for the disease had been ineffective so doctors performed surgery. 
They found pieces of a plastic packet marked 'Heinz' lodged in her intestine. 
The bits had pierced and inflamed the area, which likely triggered the patient's extended periods of bloating and intense abdominal pain. 
Doctors report that woman's symptoms disappeared after the removal of the foreign object and, after five months, had yet to return. 
The patient reportedly had no recollection of eating the packets or any meal that would have presented such an opportunity. 
This is believed to be the first case of a packet-related injury that mimics Crohn's.
