Trump: My Nuclear Button Is 'Much Bigger' And It 'Works'

President Trump tweeted Tuesday that his nuclear button is "much bigger" and it "works."

President Trump took to Twitter on Tuesday and posted a response to North Korean leader's recent remark about having a nuclear button.
"North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the 'Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times,'" Trump tweeted. "Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!"
Kim made the nuclear button claim in a New Year speech and added that "he could hit the U.S. with a nuclear weapon," reports Bloomberg.
At the same time, Kim said that his nation will hold talks with South Korea regarding sending athletes to the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
Kim described participation as "a good opportunity to show unity of the people," reports NBC News.
South Korea's leader Moon Jae-in has expressed similar sentiments, saying that North Korea's involvement in the games could help bring peace to the peninsula.
However, Nikki Haley, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, dismissed the significance of any potential talks.
"We won't take any of the talks seriously if they don't do something to ban all nuclear weapons in North Korea," Haley said. "We consider this to be a very reckless regime, we don't think we need a Band-Aid and we don't think we need to smile and take a picture. We think that we need to have them stop nuclear weapons and they need to stop it now."
