This could be the most anticipated New Year car launch in India.
The global-spec Suzuki Swift Sport draws power from a 1.4-litre Boosterjet engine producing 138bhp and 230Nm of torque. The turbocharged petrol unit comes mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The Sport variant of the hatchback is offered only in a front-wheel-drive configuration.
The Suzuki Swift Sport will make its India debut at the 2018 Auto Expo along with the regular variant of the hatchback. The third-generation Swift will be launched in India in 2018, which is likely to happen at the Auto Expo in February.
