"Nigerian Prince" Email Scammer Arrested in Louisiana Authorities just arrested a man in connection to the "Nigerian prince" email schemes. Michael Neu, 67, was charged with 269 counts of wire fraud and money laundering. Police described Neu as the "middle man" in the scam. The phishing scam involves a fake email from an Nigerian official who claims the victim will inherit his fortune if they send him money. Neu allegedly wired money to co-conspirators in Nigeria.
