Fire Victims Transported From Bronx Apartment Building

Twelve New Yorkers died on Thursday, December 28, after a fire tore through a Prospect Avenue apartment building in the city’s Bronx borough.This video, taken by an independent reporter, shows the aftermath of the fire with emergency services tending to victims outside the site of the blaze.New York Fire Department Commissioner Daniel Nigro said the fire started on the first floor and quickly moved upstairs through the building. The 12 victims of the fire ranged in age from one to 50. Four other people were in critical condition and multiple others faced serious injuries, according to the New York Post.“Tonight in the Bronx we’ve seen the worst fire tragedy in at least a quarter of a century.
