President Trump lashed out at Vanity Fair after the publication apologized to Hillary Clinton for stating that she should consider starting a new hobby like "knitting."
President Trump slammed Vanity Fair for issuing an apology to Hillary Clinton after airing a video that suggested she leave politics and take up knitting.
"Vanity Fair, which looks like it is on its last legs, is bending over backwards in apologizing for the minor hit they took at Crooked H. Anna Wintour, who was all set to be Amb to Court of St James's & a big fundraiser for CH, is beside herself in grief & begging for forgiveness!" Trump said in a Thursday tweet.
Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, was indeed rumored to be under consideration to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to Britain during the Obama administration.
Also, she did support and raise funds for Clinton's 2016 presidential run.
Nonetheless, it's unclear how she ended up in a tweet targeting Vanity Fair, though she has made her feelings about Trump known.
Soon after the election, Wintour reportedly predicted that Trump is "going to use his presidency to sell himself and his brand and profit personally for himself and his family."
