Brit tourist 'carrying painkillers for husband' jailed for drug smuggling

A British woman has been sentenced to three years in prison for smuggling drugs into Egypt.
According to reports, Laura Plummer must also pay a fine equivalent to $5,600.
The 33-year-old was arrested on October 9th at Hurghada International Airport for carrying 290 tablets of tramadol in her suitcase.
She was subsequently charged with drug possession and smuggling.
Plummer brought the prescription painkiller for her husband, an Egyptian who suffers from back pain.
