The Alvin Advertiser recently printed a Walmart ad that read, “Merry Christmas from Walmart. Save money. Screw people over."

Mistakes happen all the time, but some are more public than others.
KRIV reports that the Alvin Advertiser recently printed a Walmart ad that read, "Merry Christmas from Walmart. Save money. Screw people over."
Walmart's actual slogan is "Save money. Live better."
A statement from David Rupkalvis, the editor of the Texas publication, explains, "a member of my team was looking for a logo when she built the ad. She went online and used a search engine to look for a Walmart logo that was the right color and size. When she found one, she pulled it off without reading it thoroughly and built the ad around it."
"It was later proofed by multiple others on our team, and they, too, did not notice the fake logo that closely resembled the real Walmart logo," Rupkalvis further notes.
The paper has apologized to the mega-retailer and promised to "make amends."
