Trump: I Knew Roy Moore 'Would Lose'

President Trump on Saturday said he knew Roy Moore "would lose" in the Alabama Senate race.

President Trump took to Twitter on Saturday and said he knew Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore would lose in Alabama's special election.
"Remember, the Republicans are 5-0 in Congressional races this year. In Senate, I said Roy [Moore] would lose in Alabama and supported Big Luther Strange - and Roy lost. Virginia candidate was not a 'Trumper,' and he lost. Good Republican candidates will win BIG!" Trump wrote on Twitter.
Earlier this month, Democrat Doug Jones won the election dominated by accusations of sexual misconduct against Moore.
Though Trump ultimately backed Moore, he did so without setting foot in Alabama, notes CNN.
He held one rally not far from the Alabama border and did the bulk of his campaigning for the candidate via Twitter.
However, after Jones' victory, Trump took some jabs at Moore.
"If last night's election proved anything, it proved that we need to put up GREAT Republican candidates to increase the razor thin margins in both the House and Senate," the president wrote on December 13.
