Freezing rain hit Newington, Connecticut, on Saturday, December 23, creating treacherous conditions on the state’s roads. One boy tried to skate on one side street after the roadway was ice-covered.This video was taken by Newington resident Eric Madel. He filmed his son Jaxon attempting to figure skate on the ice near their home. At one point during the video, Jaxon takes a tumble onto the ice, to which Madel responds; “Alright now, we don’t need any concussions”.Police in Connecticut investigated 120 road accidents as a result of the icy weather on Saturday, the Connecticut Post reported.
