Report: Trump Deputy Chief Of Staff To Leave His White House Post
  • 6 years ago
The Wall Street Journal reported that Rick Dearborn will leave his White House position in early 2018.

White House deputy chief of staff will depart from his position in early 2018, reports the Wall Street Journal.
Rick Dearborn, who "oversaw the White House's political operation, public outreach and legislative affairs," intends to transition into the private sector, the Journal added.
"Rick loyally served the president for two and a half years and brought tremendous energy to the White House staff," White House Chief of Staff John Kelly commented Thursday on the departure. "He's a super guy and it breaks my heart to see him leave, but I look forward to his continued personal friendship and support for the president's agenda."
This news comes days after the departure announcement of Omarosa Manigault who has served as director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison.
The Trump administration may reportedly be on the verge of losing a large number of staffers early next year.
With President Trump's first anniversary in office fast approaching, Politico reported in September that "aides up and down the chain are reaching out to headhunters, lobbyists, and GOP operatives for help finding their next job."
The timing has been attributed to a number of factors including a goal of serving out one year on the job, the departure of top officials, and uncertainty around the Russian investigation.
