Alexander Payne, the director and screenwriter of "Downsizing" sits down with Marc Malkin to discuss how Architectural Digest is the driving force behind the architects and urban planners responsible for creating the tiny town in his new movie. We learn about the real-life architectural considerations of this imaginary world. Payne and fellow writer Jim Taylor didn't want it to be like the town in Edward Scissorhands or Truman Show. It would be a combination of Orlando and Palm Springs.
