Conservative commentator Ann Coulter recently described Donald Trump as "a reality TV star" who became president by "running on immigration."

The comment comes from her Breitbart op-ed, which was published on Wednesday and makes a case for Republican politicians at large taking up hardline immigration stances.
She suggests it is the one issue guaranteed to make them more popular than they ever dared dream.
"Republicans seem to be afraid of having the argument about immigration. What they ought to fear is NOT having that argument," Coulter notes. "They need to hold months-long debates on building the wall, ending the anchor baby scam, shutting down sanctuary cities, restricting 'refugees,' having a total immigration moratorium, and on and on and on."
She also extends an offer to help the GOP get to that place, saying that for $5,000 a week she will help the party pick the good ideas from the bad.
Those offered as examples include, "impeaching judges who block enforcement of immigration laws," and ending, "the diversity lottery and chain migration policies that require us to take the rest of the world's losers."
Coulter was a big supporter of campaign-era Trump, but had a change of heart when, according to her, he didn't prove to be as tough on immigration as he'd suggested he would be.
In just months, she went from writing a book called, 'In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!' to tweeting, "At this point, who DOESN'T want Trump impeached?"
