After collecting $43.8 million on Monday, the latest 'Star Wars' iteration reached $500 million on Tuesday with over $240 million of that coming from the United States. 'The Last Jedi' now has the fifth-highest opening weekend of all-time, despite not opening in China until the New Year. Its predecessor, 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens,' pulled in $529 million worldwide in its opening weekend.
