What Kind Of Food Is Kroger Serving In Its First Restaurant?

Kroger has just opened its first restaurant adjacent to one of its grocery stores in Union, Kentucky. The stand alone restaurant is called Kitchen 1883, and if the concept is successful, the grocery chain will open additional locations adjacent to its grocery stores. Kitchen 1883 is helmed by executive chef Chris Bushelman, and the restaurant serves a menu of what it calls "new American comfort food." Prices for main dishes range from $10 to $18. Kitchen 1883 also serves wine, beer, and cocktails.
