A conflict is brewing between Mueller and Trump's transition team over obtained emails

President Donald Trump’s transition team’s lawyer claims that special counsel Robert Mueller’s office had illegally obtained “tens of thousands” of transition officials’ email. Kory Langhofer, the transition team’s lawyer, sent Congress a letter on Saturday accusing the special counsel of unlawfully obtaining the transition teams emails. The emails were provided to Mueller by officials at the General Services Administration, the government agency which hosted the transition team’s email accounts. Muellers spokesperson pushed back on the claims that obtaining the emails was unlawful saying, "When we have obtained emails in the course of our ongoing criminal investigation, we have secured either the account owner's consent or appropriate criminal process."
