The Savoy Club is an exclusive institution in the heart of Vienna, for which waiting times must be expected until the bouncer undoes the velvet drawstring in order to grant entrance. Within, the disco ball is already turning and, to irresistible grooves, casts colorful shadows over the floor.
The stage is occupied by five musicians who have given themselves the name of a legendary New York club.
The Savoy Club is pop, The Savoy Club is funk, and most of all, The Savoy Club is: danceable. The quintet combines pop hooks, which quietly bring tears to the eyes of 90s kids, with grooves that cover a wide range of influences from funk to acid jazz, and in particular, wishes to animate guests to take to the floor. The lyrical topoi are of stirring simplicity. They revolve around love, which can work out but also fail in the Savoy Club however, the outcome is of no matter, since one dances until closing time and sometimes even beyond that.
