The southern faces of 'Les Courtes' in the Mont Blanc region of the Alps are pretty mean. They are rocky, and filled with narrow chutes, some of which only become accessible in the spring when wet snow sticks to their nearly vertical inclines. Watch as a group of good skiing friends embark on a marathon hike up the mountain and then bang out the first descent of a horrendously steep line all in one day.
