Ricky Vazquez is a groove pop singer-songwriter and musician. He was formerly a member of the 4-piece band the Commute in which he provided bass, keyboards and vocals. This band was featured on NBC 6 Miami and performed on the network as an up-and-coming band to watch in South Florida.
Since the split of the group Ricky has performed as a solo act highlighting his original music across South Florida, and was a featured performer at the Driven Music Conference in May 2014. His recent EP "Yet to Be" has been featured on many music blogs and has been released internationally on multiple platforms. Ricky has also worked with Season 7 American Idol finalist Ramiele Malubay -- providing guitar, piano and vocals -- and with David Siegel, a producer who has written for Enrique Iglesias, Christina Aguilera, Ricky Martin and Marc Anthony.
Ricky currently attends the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music in the Bruce Hornsby Contemporary American Songwriting program and Music Business program.
