The Metropolitan is a four-piece band formed by Stratis Washburn in 2010. Sean O'Neill (bass) & Ken Washburn (lead guitar) joined later that same year, and song-writing began in earnest while the band searched for a drummer. After a couple of short stints with other drummers, Michael Murphy took a permanent seat behind the drums, joining the group in late 2012.
With a strong live performances from a diverse set list, The Metropolitan have made a name for themselves on the South Florida band circuit. In 2015 they released their first single, "What Happened to New York?”. Their self-titled debut album is set for release in the fall of 2015.
