Born and bred in Cape Town. Went to Rondebosch boys' High School. First solo performance was in 2017 in the RBHS Cabaret and in 2012 performed around Cape Town in the school gig band. After school I did a show for the barnyard theatre, but then began studies at UCT doing business science. In 2014 I took a gap year to pursue music full time. I began writing and working on my guitar and singing. I worked at stardust for the whole of 2014. Also began recording demos for my EP which is still in the works. I began playing my first original, solo gigs at the end of 2014 and released my first YouTube cover of Skinny Love which got me a little more exposure. Returned to University at UCT in 2015. I then entered Season 1 of The Voice South Africa and won the competition.
