Megan & The Achilles are a family band based in the small country town of Oakey in Southeast Queensland.
Since their childhood days spent rocking out to gospel tunes in their lounge room, these four siblings have always known they had something to share with the world.
With a powerful, almost dominating sound through their combination of guitar, mandolin, ukulele and trumpet, Megan & The Achilles are strongly influenced by their gospel & folk roots.
Their tunes alternate between groovy folk numbers that will have you on your feet in a heartbeat, to those that will take you to an insightful, thought-provoking place as Megan shares her reflective, lyrical songs.
The band has performed at Toowoomba's Easterfest in 2013 and again in 2014 as a support, and as a headline artist in 2015. They also paired up with the Easterfest Roadshow, which toured Southeast Queensland in late 2014.
Megan & The Achilles recently released their debut self-titled EP to an extremely warm reception, playing many local shows and touring Queensland.
The first single ‘The Seven Seas’ was charted quickly via Triple J Unearthed.
Megan & The Achilles will soon release their new single ‘Empty Little Heart’, which is available for download on iTunes and Spotify.
