BOUNDS (Till Valentin , Phillipp Sommer und George Green) vermischen Einflüsse von Indie und amerikanischem Alternative Rock. Die eingängigen Melodien erinnern an die großen Idole Editors, The Killers und Jimmy Eat World. Zu dem Vergleich trägt besonders der charismatische Gesang des Frontmanns George Green bei. Das beruhigende Timbre seiner Stimme legt sich wie Tau über die riffbetonten Gitarren, die zwischen laut und leise, zwischen melancholisch und euphorisch schwenken. Es entstanden vier neue Titel mit episch-hymnischen Charakter und bewegender Tiefe.

BOUNDS’ Thema sind Grenzen und Schranken im Leben und die Erkenntnis, dass es wichtig sein kann, sich über dieser bewusst zu werden. Es kann gefahrvoll sein, Schranken zu übertreten. Es kann vielversprechend sein, Grenzen zu erweitern. Die Texte von Sänger George Green handeln über das Leben und Vergehen, über Sorgen und Hoffnungen, dunkle Geheimnisse und ganz Alltägliches.

BOUNDS (früher unter dem Namen Cinnamon loves Candy unterwegs) nahmen 2014 die Superpower EP mit den Produzenten Stefan Gade (Udo Lindenberg, Rosenstolz) und Marc Schettler (Beatsteaks, Sportfreunde Stiller) im Hamburger Hafenklangstudio auf. Kurz darauf folgte ihr Debütalbum ‘All Our Secrets Remain’. Aufgenommen und produziert wurde es von Bente Faust. (Kettcar, Samy Deluxe) in den Off Ya Tree Studios in Hamburg. Es folgten viele Gigs auf kleineren Festivals und Konzerte in ganz Deutschland.
Mediasupport für BOUNDS gab es bereits vom SWR3, NDRInfo, Delta-Radio, Radio Fritz vom RBB, dem Deutschlandfunk uva. Der Musikblog Soundsandbooks.com schreibt über den Sound der Band:

BOUNDS is comprised of Till Valentin, Philipp Sommer und George Green. Their catchy melodies are reminiscent of their great idols such as The Killers, Editors and Jimmy Eat World. It is George Green’s charismatic vocals that chiefly contribute to that comparison. The comforting timbre of his delicate voice lays like dew upon the guitar-riffs that alternate between sonic and gentle, melancholic and euphoric. Four new songs have been created with epic character and touching depth.
“A border is a real or imagined line that parts two objects from each other. It has one object end where the other one starts.. A border bestows contour and form upon both areas. Without borders nothing would be perceivable. They are the prerequisite for all human knowledge.” (Konrad Paul Liessmann)
BOUNDS write about borders and frontiers within life and the necessity of being aware of them. To cross the bounds that restrain someone could be vital. To trespass borders might be perilous. George’s lyrics are about life and decay, about hopes and sorrows, and about dark secrets within daily life.

BOUNDS used to tour in Germany as Cinnamon loves Candy. They recorded their first EP “Superpower” in 2014. It was produced by Stefan Gade (Udo Lindenberg, Rosenstolz) and Marc Schettler (Beatsteaks, Sportfreunde Stiller) at the reknowned Hamburg recording studio “Hafenklang”. Shortly afterwards they released their debut album “All Our Secrets Remain”, which was produced by Bente Faust (Kettcar, Samy Deluxe) in the Off Ya Tree Studios in Hamburg. Since then BOUNDS has had countless gigs at larger festivals in and outside Germany.
BOUNDS has appeared on various media outlets such as SWR3, NDRInfo, DeltaRadio, RBB’s Radio Fritz, Deutschlandfunk etc. The music-blog Soundsandbooks.com wrote about their sound:
