Grant’s drums are dynamic, beefed up and tasteful, mirroring the efforts of Paul Mascarenhas’ own fretwork on bass guitar. Po Lazarus' music provides a sonic landscape to some rather sultry and, at times, melancholic love dirges. Frontman Josh Carey has advanced in his singing style and technique, providing some of their EP’s more terrifying and tender moments. Louder, raunchier, and at times sweet, the men in Po Lazarus have come a ways since banging pots and pans and cell phone recordings were their reality.
