We follow Kanoa Igarashi and Italian friend Leonardo Fioravanti in this video on a surf trip to Australia that starts of fun and exciting, but turns dramatic when Kanoa severely breaks his leg while freesurfing.
He flies home in a cast from his hip to his foot, and goes straight into physical therapy. After an aggressive rehab process, he starts surfing only two and a half months after his injury - about half the time they expected.
