Jeder gute Coming-of-Age-Film braucht einen passenden Soundtrack. Mit der Musik von Ilgen-Nur würde man dafür auf jeden Fall die passende Wahl treffen. Sie ist direkt, ehrlich und du fühlst dich verstanden. Ein bisschen so wie ein Gespräch mit der besten Freundin. Ilgen-Nur ist 21 und vor einem Jahr aus der Nähe von Stuttgart nach Hamburg gezogen. Sie singt über Zukunftsängste, Unsicherheiten aber auch schöne, kleine Dinge: Fahrrad fahren. Die Augenringe einer Person, die man mag. Verschmierten Lippenstift tragen und sich trotzdem wohl fühlen. Ilgen-Nur verbindet lässig Indiepop mit Slacker-Rock-Attitüde und DIY-Ästhetik. Das erinnert mal an Kate Nash, mal an Kurt Vile, Courtney Barnett oder auch Girlpool. „No Emotions“ heißt Ilgen-Nurs erste EP. Sie erschien im Sommer auf dem Kassettenlabel Sunny Tapes . Für die Aufnahmen hat Ilgen-Nur sich bekannte Unterstützung aus dem Indierock-Business geholt: aufgenommen und produziert wurde „No Emotions“ von Max Rieger, der sonst mit Die Nerven oder All Diese Gewalt auf der Bühne steht. „I’m just trying to be cool “ singt Ilgen-Nur in „Cool“, dem heimlichen Hit ihres Tapes. Aber groß anstrengen muss sie sich zum Coolsein wirklich nicht. Sie hat es schon perfekt drauf.

A bit like in a conversation with your best friend. Ilgen-Nur is 21 years old and came from Stuttgart to Hamburg one year ago. She sings about anxieties about the future, insecurities, but also nice small things: riding the bike. The dark circles under the eyes of a person you like. Wearing messed up lipstick and still feeling comfortable. Ilgen-Nur casually connects indiepop with a slacker-rock-attitude and DIY aesthetics. That sometimes reminds you of Kate Nash, sometimes Kurt Vile, Courtney Barnett or also Girlpool. "No Emotions" is her first EP. It was released in summer on the cassette label Sunny Tapes. For the recordings Ilgen-Nur has gathered famous support from the indierock business: "No Emotions" was produced my Max Rieger who normally performs on stage with Die Nerven or All Diese Gewalt. "I´m just trying to be cool" Ilgen-Nur is singing in "Cool" the secret Hit of her Tape. But being cool is not a really big effort for her. She´s already a total pro at that.
