Esta nueva producción ha sido llevada a cabo en Valencia con Fernando Boix, quien ya se encargó de grabar su anterior álbum “Rising Up”, y ha sido masterizado por Brian Lucey (Arctic Monkeys). Con recorrido internacional y festivalero de infarto, Polock suena fresco, moderno y talentoso. Su música, también muy internacional, hace referencia a un indie-pop-rock con esencias que mezclan lo vintage con los sonidos más actuales.
Lejos queda diciembre de 2007 cuando los valencianos lanzaron “Polock EP”, con el que se abrieron un hueco en la escena musical española durante el transcurso de 2008 y 2009, presentándose a varios concursos, tocando por toda España y alcanzando más de medio millón de reproducciones. Ya en 2009 consiguieron tocar en el MTV Winter de Valencia (junto a Franz Ferdinand y Mando Diao), y en el Primavera Sound de Barcelona.
Su primer trabajo discográfico, “Getting down from the trees”, fue grabado en Berlín y vino de la mano del sello Mushroom Pillow. Irrumpieron en escena en abril de 2010 con un disco que obtuvo un impacto poco usual para un debut de un grupo español. Recibió el Premio de la Música Independiente a la Mejor Producción Musical y además, fue publicado en EEUU, Canadá, México, Japón, Reino Unido, Francia, Alemania, Suiza y Austria. De este álbum se extrajo el single “Fireworks”, que alcanzó Single of the Week en iTunes US y en iTunes Mexico.
En 2014 “Rising Up” supuso su segundo álbum de estudio, con el que se estrenó el single “Everlasting” basado en las películas “Toro Salvaje” y “La ley de la Calle”, llegando a cerrar los informativos de TVE1 dos veces consecutivas. Esta canción formó parte de la banda sonora del videojuego FIFA 15, siendo una de las primeras bandas españolas en entrar en esta lista.
This new production has been carried out in Valencia with Fernando Boix, who was already in charge of recording his previous album "Rising Up", and has been mastered by Brian Lucey (Arctic Monkeys). With international tour and infamous festival, Polock sounds cool, modern and talented. His music, also very international, refers to an indie-pop-rock with essences that mix the vintage with the most current sounds.
It was not until December 2007 when the "Polock EP" released the "Polock EP", which opened a gap in the Spanish music scene during the years 2008 and 2009, performing several competitions, playing throughout Spain and reaching more than half a million reproductions. Already in 2009 they managed to play in the MTV Winter of Valencia (along with Franz Ferdinand and Mando Diao), and Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
His first album, "Getting Down from the Trees", was recorded in Berlin and came from the Mushroom Pillow label. They broke into the scene in April 2010 with an album that had an unusual impact for a debut of a Spanish group. He received the Independent Music Award for Best Music Production and was also published in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. From this album the single "Fireworks" was released, which reached Single of the Week in iTunes US and in iTunes Mexico.
In 2014 "Rising Up" was his second studio album, which premiered the single "Everlasting" based on the films "Toro Salvaje" and "La ley de la Calle", closing the TVE1 news twice twice . This song was part of the soundtrack of the videogame FIFA 15, being one of the first Spanish bands to enter this list.
