PRESENTED BY MONICA RAȚIU

The story goes way back in 2009, when two guitarists from two different bands meet during a tour they share. The two guitarists, Péter Grezer(ex. Stereofeelings) and Vlad Sucală (ex. All One), keep in touch after the tour, so in 2011, they start working on a couple of songs.

Trying to enhance classic metalcore with a melodic new age interpretation, bassist Dani Șipoș(ex. All One), drummer Cristi Lipovan(ex. Antidot) and vocalist Marian “Bitza” Hrenovschi(ex. Antidot) join the two guitarists, giving birth to the band Scars of a Story.

After finalizing their first songs to represent the spirit of the band, Scars of a Story debuts on 7th of May 2012, opening for the well-known canadian band, Cancer Bats. Receiving a positive feedback, the members of the band continue to work and refine their own songs in preparation of the upcoming shows.

Because of personal reasons, Cristi Lipovan leaves the band, and Gabi Petrean(Sinfold) takes his place as the drummer. The band continues the series of gigs, sharing the stage with foreign bands, like Subscribe, Betraying the Martyrs, Veil of Maya, Violent Chapter, Jinjer, Hopes Die Last, and romanian bands like Goodbye to Gravity, Diamonds are Forever, Breathelast, Divided by Perception and For The Wicked.

During this time the band starts recording its first album, which is released in June 2016. After the album release, the band focuses on releasing a few videos of singles taken from the album, and promoting their work in a tour which encapsulates a few major cities.
