Euphoria Under Fire is a duo started back in early 2015 , two good mates who had partied and seen each other around the local sunshine coast scene for many years decided to catch up and have a jam after Michael Gerahty (lead singer, guitarist) saw Aaron Woodford (guitarist, percussion, vocals) post a few videos up on his Facebook covering songs.
From there history between the two sparked a 13 hour day of music of jamming, laughs and exchanging lots of ideas. This gave the two friends a incentive that there was the possibility of making music into a career one day.
After the first musical encounter it became clear the two friends wanted to do something they have both dreamed on for many years. Fast forward two weeks later, the guys had gotten a 5 song cover list and written two songs together.
These short lived practices and ideas sparked an opportunity when Michael’s Mum Aya offered them there first gig at a charity event for White Ribbon which was showcasing acts in Sydney, Avalon. The duo decided that this was a great adventure to take, so on a road trip down south they went to do there first gig ever!
Which sadly … unlike fairytales they stuffed up badly!
To this day laughing at the experience the mates have expanded over the last 2 ½ years dedicating there time to music playing over hundreds of gigs, playing on radio , winning peoples choices awards and placing in the top three each time. They currently are self-recording their EP “Distorted Happiness” with 8 original songs under their belt aiming to be released early next year. Things are only going to go up from here for the two best mates from Euphoria Under Fire.
