Matt Damon Slams Weinstein and Defends Louis C.K.

Matt Damon has spoken out about Harvey Weinstein again in a new interview with ABC News.

Damon, who has a long and storied history with the disgraced media mogul, stated that he knew he wouldn’t want him married to anyone close to him, but that was about the extent of what he knew.

He said of course Harvey was a womanizer, and he said that so many women felt empowered to come forward and share their stories as a ‘watershed moment’ and ‘totally necessary’.

But he wants to be careful about painting all offenders with the same brush.

He does believe there’s a spectrum of behavior, and there’s a difference between patting someone on the butt and child molestation.

He said offenders such as Louis CK, who admitted and apologized for forcing women to watch him masturbate, was on the opposite end of the spectrum as Weinstein, and should be treated as such.

And we think he kind of has a point.
