Kieran O'Brien is a singer-songwriter based in Galway on the west coast of Ireland.
Since releasing his debut EP in October 2016 O'Brien has been steadily promoting his material around venues such as the Roisin Dubh and Aras na nGael, while also achieving airplay across a number of radio stations both nationally and abroad.
Soaked in themes of the past and rediscovery of the present, O'Brien's debut EP "After The Storm" draws heavily on his childhood spent at sea with his family, growing up, and coming to terms with the present. Stylistically it leans more on the folky side of the spectrum but still captures that dreamy sound O'Brien is after. "After The Storm" received positive reviews from blogs and popular music magazines such as The Thin Air, and has been likened to artists such as Kurt Vile, Ghosts I've met, and early Sigur Ross albums.
O'Brien is planning his second release for the beginning of September 2017.
