The most innovative feature of the new La Sportiva Akasha is the sole which has been designed to support the natural movement of the foot. It features more durable rubber at the hard-wearing edges of the shoe and grippier rubber over the larger contact areas. This ensures a comfortable fit even when tackling long distances or hard trails. The Akasha's upper is made from a highly breathable fabric, but the shoe as a whole remains sturdy thanks to the dynamic protection strips which criss-cross the material. Ideal for the long-distance runner tackling endurance races, the Akasha will be available from March 2016.
