Porto San Giorgio, age six, Italian native Andrea Iacopini studied classical music with a violin, incorporating solfeggio and piano until rock-and-roll urged him to buy his first guitar at age sixteen.Finishing his Computer Science program at University of Bologna, he moved to San Francisco to pursue music full time in 2006. He founded two bands while studying Audio and Post Production, and found ...the stage name John Revo. In April 2011, finally underwhelmed by the city, Andrea set his sights on Nashville in search of a drummer to partner in a duo-project long on the horizon.

Scott Soifer found the drums at age ten, practicing on a drum pad until he had a full set in the basement some three years later.Scott took private lessons until he attended Berklee College of music in 2000, influenced heavily by Stuart Copeland, Clyde Stubblefield, Herb Alexander and Chad Smith. He began teaching drums full-time and gigging with multiple groups in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio, later in Austin, and eventually to Nashville where he met Andrea, working at the Holland house. An impromptu rehearsal led to six more sessions and as many bottles of Four Roses and Sweet Lucy, just enough for Two Bit Charlie to record their first EP in Andrea's living room.

Scott and Andrea's vast differences in background and influence noticeably shape their sound, exacting a gritty conglomeration of genres with throbbing verses and explosive choruses, setting the primary focus of this new duo to the dialogue of dynamics.
