Shooting Politics, episode 13, 17th February 2010
  • 6 years ago
The British Association for Shooting & Conservation is past its 100th birthday and has come a long way since it was a loose association of wildfowlers headed by Stanley Duncan. Now Graham Downing has written "A Sporting Century", a book telling the history of the UK's biggest shooting organisation and its forerunner, the Wildfowlers' Association of Great Britain & Ireland. In this week's half-hour Shooting Politics programme on Fieldsports Channel, Graham and members of Stanley Duncan's own club, the Hull & East Riding Wildfowlers Association, trace the history of BASC and WAGBI, and recall what Stanley Duncan himself was like.
