Net Neutrality is dead, but now ISPs can start 'innovating'

WASHINGTON — The FCC voted on Thursday to can Obama-era net neutrality rules.
Net neutrality required ISPs to offer equal access to all web content without charging people for higher-quality delivery or giving certain websites preferential status.
Supporters of the repeal say it will free up internet providers to innovate.
Opponents worry the internet is going to start looking a lot more like cable TV. Broadband providers could start splitting the internet up into different packages.
Without net neutrality, some are concerned the internet could be split into a fast lane with big internet and media companies, and a slow lane for everyone else.
