Procession Transports Firefighter Killed in Thomas Fire

A procession of fire trucks and police cars transported the body of a California firefighter who died on December 14 while battling the Thomas fire.Cory Iverson was taken from Fillmore, where he died on duty, to Ventura, where an autopsy was scheduled. Local station KTLA reported the 32-year-old Iverson was a fire apparatus engineer with the San Diego Unit. He was survived by his wife and 2-year-old daughter, with a second child on the way.Firetrucks parked on an overhead pass with firefighters standing atop them, as seen in the video. The vehicle from which this was filmed was driving out from downtown Ventura at the time.The Thomas fire had been burning for nearly two full weeks, destroying or damaging around 1,230 structures.
