Uber's License Renewal Refused in Third English City

In the latest in a long line of setbacks, Uber just lost its license in a third UK city. On Tuesday, the City of York Council's Gambling, Licensing and Regulatory Committee has rejected Uber's application to renew its private hire operator's license. The council cited worries about a huge data breach that is currently under investigation, and a number of complaints about the service. The data breach was exposed last month, with reports that Uber had failed to disclose a massive breach last year.
